INITIAL STEPS TO TAKE

Step 1


OBTAIN A YAHOO ACCOUNT

If you don't already have a yahoo account, make sure you have one. It is a known fact that other ISPs have rejected email because of their filters and you want to make sure you are able to reach and receive from everyone. Upgrade it to a Mail Plus account for 19.99 a year. Also, with Internet Marketing, many emails have identifiers such as links and attachments that could be identified as spam so you will want to identify those that are going into your spam folder and set up filters so you don't miss any important information. I recommend an email with your first and last name for identification and marketing purposes. If someone already has firstnamelastname @ yahoo.com, then consider firstnamelastnamebiz, etc.

Step 3


OBTAIN A DOMAIN NAME

Get a domain name for your ITV Ventures Site
and a domain name for your Lead Capture Site.

To get the domain names, go to: Godaddy.com (Ask Godaddy's support for help but make sure you do not get any extras -- you should only be paying $8.95 for one year for each domain that is renewable.)  Do not buy hosting. 

Get a .com for the ITV Ventures replicated site and a .biz for your lead capture site.

Make sure your domain name does not include ITV in it.

Keep it simple -- keep it short.  When marketing, you don’t want to have a name that is difficult for people to remember or to spell, but make sure it’s a vision you believe in.  You want to have a name what you want to achieve front and center. 

I suggest going to godaddy.com where you can search and see if your domain name is being used, and sign up for a domain name, forwarding it to your ITV site. And to your lead capture site.

 Step 4


KNOW THE PRODUCTS

Watch the CD – Read the information – Try the Products.  You need to be a product of the product.  You can’t sell something you don’t believe in, whether it’s to a customer or to a person interested in the business.

GET A BUSINESS CARD


You need to have two business cards:  

One is a general business card, that doesn't identify a particular business.  
Name,
City, ST
Cell Phone
Fax
Email
Website
List every continent you have done business with.
Picture

President -- always make yourself a president.

Always have a picture of yourself on your business card. Most people will not throw away a business card with a picture on it.  The reason why -- it's like throwing away a person.  

On back of card:  Have the information from the conference call number; date and time.

Step 6


GET A DROP CARD

Get cards in shocking colors (BRIGHT ORANGE) and put text like the following in black letters:

WANT TO EXIT THE RAT RACE FOREVER?

WANT ME TO SHOW YOU HOW TO MAKE 100K THIS TIME NEXT YEAR, COMPLETELY PASSIVE WITHOUT CHANGING ANYTHING YOU ARE DOING?

Just have a web site -- not contact information.  e.g. www.thiswillmakeyourich.com

Throw these wherever you go.  From ATM machine; fill up your gas tank; drop these where you go.  Magazines -- stick them in the business section.  Be inventive

The cards have to be really bright.  Question that will really peak their interest.  And a website.  Any print shop in town will make them.
